Birth Support

You can’t control birth, but you can set yourself up for success no matter how it unfolds.

  • Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class

Get empowered with a childbirth class you and your partner will love! Learn about evidence based care, comfort measures, and advocacy over this six week course. There will be 6 live meetings along with prerecorded content to watch between sessions and access to a full dashboard of extra materials. You can’t know exactly how birth will unfold, but you can feel prepared and confident for whatever comes your way!

  • Birth Prep Session

Learn tools to make sure you are empowered and prepared for your birth. Generally best to do during your third trimester, we can address any specific questions you have for your situation, review your birth plan, discuss labor and birthing positions, practice optimal pushing techniques, and learn key comfort measures for your birthing time. Your partner is encouraged to join too!

  • Early Postpartum Support

Whether you’ve had a vaginal or cesarean birth, every system of your body is undergoing changes in the postpartum period and you can optimize your recovery by having early, expert guidance. We will meet with you in the hospital, home, or virtually within the first week of birth to fill the gap in postpartum care. You will receive education on monitoring for serious health threats, wound management, body mechanics with daily tasks, and safe return to activity. We will provide hands on mobilization and support as appropriate and direction on assistive garments/equipment or other professional services that may be beneficial too. Last but not least, we will reserve time to discuss and begin processing the birth experience so that you feel supported mentally and physically during this vulnerable time. We recommend contacting us to set up this service before birth, but will try our best to accommodate you after birth as well!

  • Clogged Duct/Mastitis Care

Clogged ducts or mastitis are a real pain in the boob! We can help by using therapeutic ultrasound, manual therapy, exercise, and education to make your lactation journey more comfortable.
