FOUNDER, PELVIC HEALTH PT, EVIDENCE BASED BIRTH® INSTRUCTOR

I get way more excited about bathroom habits and other taboo subjects than the typical gal, and I have become a huge birth nerd since having my own babies too. I didn’t always see myself in this field though!

I first majored in Dance with a minor in Disability Studies at the University of Washington. I next attended Pacific University where I obtained my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, graduating in 2014 as valedictorian of my class.

Since, I have done countless continuing education courses in both orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapy and trained as an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor. After working in both private practices and hospital systems, I made the leap to open my own business in 2022 so that I could provide optimal care dictated by myself and my clients, not by “the system.” Whether it is helping someone navigate their changing body, preparing them for a big life transition, or helping them to feel and function better, I couldn’t love this work more. It is an absolute honor to work with every single person who lets me in to this vulnerable space to walk the journey with them.

Outside of the classroom and the office, my partner Nathan and I have ventured into the even more rewarding and challenging journey of becoming parents to two amazing children, Saige and Grant. Our family loves slow mornings in our PJs, living room dance parties, getting outdoors, and jamming out to classic hip hop.

    PELVIC HEALTH PT

I care deeply about each of my patients and strive to help them achieve their goals. I want to be the person women can talk to about some of their most private problems. I want to be an advocate for moms of all ages.

I grew up in Tri-Cities, WA. During college I met my husband Cameron while working in a physical therapy clinic. I attended Eastern Washington University and graduated Cum Laude ad Majorem with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a Minor in Health Services Administration. There I was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Puget Sound.  I have done continuing education in pelvic floor health, prenatal and postpartum care, nutrition and chronic pelvic pain.

I have had my own struggles with PCOS, endometriosis, food sensitivities and chronic constipation. These struggles have solidified my love for pelvic health physical therapy. I know what it is like to feel dismissed by your providers and I want to make sure all of my patients feel listened to and cared for.

My personal life revolves around spending quality time with my family. After years of fertility struggles my husband and I were able to conceive our daughter and twin boys. I never imagined I would be a twin mom! Their names are Sarah, Christopher and Matthew.  I love Harry Potter, playing video games with my kids, dancing, singing and reading a good murder mystery.

MEN’S PELVIC HEALTH PT, GENERAL ORTHOPEDIC PT

I came to the pelvic health world after consistently feeling like there was a missing piece when treating things such as back and hip pain in an orthopedic setting. I couldn't keep ignoring this major system that often contributes to the ailments I've been treating my whole career. Plus, the specific, majorly life-impacting difficulties men and women can have when pee, poop, and sex don't work or feel optimal drives me to learn even more.

Professionally, I am doctorally trained as a Physical Therapist (movement nerd) and further board-certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. I love working with people who are open to learning, open to pushing their physical function, and who are ready to go use that function today.

Personally, I am a father to two and a husband to one. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and have also spent time living in the beautiful American Southwest. Our family enjoys dance parties, camping, hiking, and learning new stuff all of the time. At times I have been a decathlete, ultramarathon runner, weight lifter, and mountain biker. Today, I am enjoying running and lifting as I get back to fitness after the depths of early parenthood.
